PETA's Busy, Weird Start To 2009 (PHOTOS)

PETA's always up to something. President and co-founder Ingrid Newkirk has now gone and willed her body to be used in many of the ways that she's spent her life fighting -- her skin as leather, flesh as meat (specifically to be barbecued and eaten) and a few other things that are actually a bit more blood-curdling.

Possibly the most mind-blowing:

c. my feet be removed and umbrella stands or other ornamentation be made from them, as a reminder of the depravity of killing innocent animals, such as elephants, in order that we might use their body parts for household items and decorations;

d.That one of my eyes be removed, mounted, and delivered to the administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a reminder that PETA will continue to be watching the agency until it stops poisoning and torturing animals.

It gets weirder. But you can read about that on your own time, because I have one other thing for you here.

The latest out-there publicity stunt by PETA had me wondering just how many protests and demonstrations they'd put on already this year. While I doubt I can actually round up each and every event, I found a pretty good selection -- vote on your most and least favorite below:

So. What do you think?
